This is a microwave-reheatable plastic container (approximately 5.5" x 7.3/4").
Insitus Metal Slide Tray fits to this plastic
container. This container can be used conveniently as a Humid Box for overnight
hybridization when Insitus Metal Slide Tray (with slides
on) was used.
Cut several paper towels to the size of the flat bottom of the plastic container.
Stack up about 10 or more sheets of cut paper towels. Soak them in water and place
them at the bottom of the container. Excess water can be decanted out. Put the
lid on top and place the box in a 37°C incubator. This box is used as "humid box"
for overnight hybridization when a metal slide tray is used. Maintain the humid
box at 38°C in the incubator .
After denaturation, place the hot metal slide tray (with slides) on top of the
wet paper towels in the humid box. Close the lid and leave the humid box in the
incubator overnight at 38°C for hybridization.
