Tray
Metal Slide Tray (4" x 7.1/2") in conjunction with the use of HybBox™
or Humid Box is very effective in hybridization during
either cell or tissue FISH. It also provides a convenient and effective
means for the simultaneous processing of multiple sample slides, which minimizing
slide to slide variations and also reducing hands-on time. Each Metal Slide Tray
will hold up to six microscope slides. Three sides of the tray have a raised lip.
These are configured to permit easier holding of the hot metal tray during the
transfer from the oven to HybBox™. The lip also prevents accidental dropping of
slides from the hot Metal Slide Tray. With two metal slide trays, 12 slides
can be simultaneously processed for FISH.
After denaturation of sample slides (on metal slide tray) in oven, the metal
slide tray becomes very hot. During the transfer of the hot slide tray from
the oven into HybBox™, hold the tab of Metal Slide Tray
with a Tray Holding Forceps (or fully curved hemostatic
forceps) as shown below or by hand while wearing a heat resistant glove. The
use of the forceps effectively prevents accidental dropping of sample slides
from the hot metal tray.
